It's time for this month's beauty favourites! I have a mix of makeup, skin and hair care products to talk about! I've found some new products and re-discovered some old ones!
First up is the Nuxe multi-purpose dry oil for face, body and hair. I got this last year for my hair but wasn't that impressed, I think my hair is just too thick for this thin oil. Earlier this month I was looking at oily skin care tips and read that you should fight oily skin with oil. I thought this sounded strange but as so many websites were saying this and they recommended using a dry oil I thought I would reach back for my Nuxe oil that had been sat in a drawer for months.
So far I'm very impressed! It does a very good job at keeping the oil at bay and as it's packed with plant oils and vitamins my skin has become a bit more clear, on top of that it smells amazing! The down side is that it's expensive- £28 for 100ml at M&S, however I haven't been using it for long and I don't need to use much so I'm hoping it lasts a while!
Next is the Umberto Giannini Frizzi hair mask. I have naturally thick and curly hair which unfortunately means it's also naturally prone to hair and this mask is great at adding some moisture and shine back into my hair! I've found after using this for a few months my hair has become a lot more manageable. Umberto Giannini seems to be a band that really understands curly hair!
I've not done much fake tanning in the past because I hate the smell that can be left on the skin from some products. However I felt like giving tan another go but I wanted it to look as natural as possible so I went to my local Boots and found the No.7 Naturally Sunkissed Gradual Tan.
The main reason I love this is because it does not have that fake tan smell! The bottle says there is no need to exfoliate but I feel after a couple of applications it got a bit patchy so exfoliation is needed. The cream leaves the skin feeling soft and gives a very natural looking tan.
Lancôme's Hypnose Precious Cells mascara was another re-discovery for me this month. It's a little pricey but it's great at separating and thickening lashes to leave a fluttery look. It's perfect for more natural make up looks.
I'm sure all of you are aware of the the Kylie Jenner lip craze which has left all MAC counters completely out of the Velvet Teddy lipstick. As I was browsing my local Kiko store I came across their Velvet mat-satin lipstick in 613 Pink Carnation which is a great dupe for Velvet Teddy! It's a fraction of the price at £6.70 and has great pigmentation, it's quite moisturising but it's not as long lasting as MAC's lipsticks. The last thing I love about this lipstick is the sleek looking packaging!
