Here is a quick overview of some products that I have been reaching to nearly every day! I have a mix of makeup and skin care to share with you!
First are some of my favourite makeup tools at the moment! At the top of the image we have the Real Techniques Stippling brush, this is perfect for buffing in foundation to get a high coverage and airbrushed look! The bristles are densely packed and are quite short which gives you a high amount of control, the best thing is that it's a drug store product so it's very affordable!
When it comes to contouring I prefer a more natural look which leads me to the second brush, MACs 165. It fits perfectly along the cheek bone and gives a soft and gradual contour instead of a harsh line. The bristles are really flexible which makes it easy to blend and contour or highlight powder out really seamlessly.
My brow game isn't the strongest in the world so like my contour I try to keep things on the more natural side (I will get those instagram brows one day, I will!). The brush that makes things so much easier for me it MACs 266 which a small angled brush. The edge allows me to create neat edges but it also allows me to blend in powder to give a natural finish, it's also very easy to control!
Finally for tool is my Shu Uemura limited edition lash curler! It is on the pricey side (I think I paid £20 for it) but it brilliant at curling lashes as it gets right into the roots. It's lightweight but it doesn't feel flimsy which is important to me because the idea of having something that could break near me eyes freaks me out!
I've only put down two makeup products because I could seriously go on for ever so I've just picked these which I use everyday and I'll do a more in-depth makeup post later. :)
On the left is the Kiko's Natural Concealer in 04 Green, I get very red patches around my nose and chin so I apply this under my foundation and it cancels out all of the redness! It's also great to apply under concealer if you've got a break out.
To the right is MAC's Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle, this is the first Skinfinish I've bought and it's made me want to buy them all! This gives the skin a lovely warm glow which instantly makes you look more awake and healthy, this teamed with a bronzer is glowing skin perfection! (swatch below)
Going from left to right I'm starting with Garnier's Simply Essentisls Sothing 2 in 1 make-up remover. It's perfume and alcohol free so its great for people with sensitive skin. Before use you shake to blend the make-up removing oil and the cleansing water inside this bottle, it reminds me so much of Clinque's Take the Day Off. Makeup slides right off and you don't have to apply much pressure to the eyes.
In the middle is The Body Shop's Blue Corn 3-in-1 Deep Cleansing Mask. I've noticed a great difference in my skin since using this, mostly in my pores that have become much smaller, the only down side to this is that it leaves the skin feeling quite dry.
My skin owes a lot to St.Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot scrub, it keeps my skin smooth and works wonders on my pores! This particular version of the scrub is targeted at oily skin, you can buy others that are suited for your skin type.
I hope you found this post useful! What are your current beauty essentials? Let me know! :)
